Bernard UyttendaeleCEO, European Venture Philanthropy Association

Bernard Uyttendaele joined the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) as chief executive in 2016.

Bernard started his career as credit manager and treasurer at Otis Elevator Company in Belgium and France, before becoming CFO and Deputy Director in the Netherlands. In 2001 he moved to telecoms firm Orange, sitting on the board until it sold to T-Mobile.

Most recently he worked as managing director of War Child in the Netherlands: under his three-year leadership, the organisation grew by 50%, attracted more private and small business donors, and established itself internationally.
