Pauline KrikkeMayor of The Hague

    Pauline Krikke is Mayor of The Hague. She has a long career in local politics, including as Mayor for the municipality of Arnhem (2001-2013), and before that as alderman for Economic Affairs and Employment in Amsterdam.

    Alongside her work for Dutch municipalities, Pauline has also driven international cooperation by leading cross-border trade missions with numerous companies and organisations from Amsterdam. She has also served as board member of the International Red Cross/Red Crescent.

    In 2013, Pauline established herself as independent consultant and supervisor for the public and private sector. She was managing director of the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam when she decided to become a member of the Dutch Upper House (“Eerste Kamer”), a role she left when she took office as mayor of The Hague.
